10 Current Beauty Favourites

I haven't featured beauty on here in a long long time but there are some beauty products that I have been seriously loving recently and wanted to share with you guys.

First up my Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette*, I actually won this in a twitter competition which I was super made up about as I love all my other Naked palettes.  The colours in this palette though are so gorgeous with the perfect mixture of mattes and shimmer shades, my favourites are 'High' (cream shimmer) and 'Dirtysweet' (medium bronze).  As all Urban Decay eyeshadows they are extremely pigmented and long wearing.  Although the Urban Decay palettes come with a dual ended brush (which I love btw) I have been loving using the Real Techniques Oval Shadow Brush* to apply the shadows with, the brush picks up lots of product and the oval shape of the brush is the perfect shape to for creating my eyeshadow look.

For contouring I recently picked up the NYX Wonder Stick as my Clinique chubby stick had run out. I find these sticks really easy to use as you can literally draw on your face and then just blend it out.  For blending I've been using the Real Techniques Flat Contour Brush* which is just the perfect size and shape to really carve those cheekbones out.

Ever since Benefit released their new brow range I have been dying to try something and top of my list was ka-BROW.  The gel formula is super buildable so you can go for a more natural brow or for a really defined strong looking brow, whatever is your preference.  Personally I love more of a stronger brow and I find this product is so easy to achieve that.  A little product goes a long way with this and so I know it's going to last me a long long time.  The great thing about this product is that it comes with it's own built-in angled brush which is super handy and extremely travel friendly as you don't need another brush with you.  For an even more defined brow I always like to tidy up my brows with concealer and for this I've been using the Real Techniques Angled Liner Brush*, I know the brush is supposed to be used for eyeliner or even your brows but I have all those covered so this one is perfect.  It has a super tiny brush which gives the right amount of precision to go round the brows for a real defined look.

I'm not very loyal to any brands with mascara but my most recent favourite is defo the L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara, it literally does what it says on the tin, it gives my lashes so much volume without making them look too clumpy.  It is a pure black mascara and I've found that I only need one coat of this to really elongate my lashes.

This blush is a recent purchase as I needed a more compact one for my trip to Paris so I headed straight to my local NYX stand and swatched till my hearts content and omg I was stood there for ages trying to decide on the shade that I wanted, I literally could have bought all of them but after a long while I decided on NYX High Definition Blush in 'Bitten'.  The blush itself is so powdery and soft and blends so evenly onto the skin.  Colourwise I'd class it as a pinky mauve (it's coming up a lot pinker on photos then IRL) but it gives such a pop of colour to the cheeks and I've found myself grabbing this over my beloved Benefit blushers.

For highlighter I am all about ease and thats where the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight comes in.  Like the NYX contour stick I can draw on my face exactly where I want to highlight (cheekbones, down the centre of my nose, cupids bow and and forehead) and then I just blend it all in with my fingers.  I love this stick as it gives off the most gorgeous luminous glow and is so blendable, it's a quick and easy way to highlight my face.

My final favourite is another NYX product (they really are my favourite brand at the moment) and is the Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in 'Sandstorm'.  I've got a few of the NYX lipsticks now but the Liquid Suede Creams are defo my favourite formula of the lot.  They apply so smoothly onto the lips and dry matte within seconds.  Sometimes matte lipsticks can be quite drying on the lips but these are so hydrating and velvety soft.  I have the colour 'Sandstorm' which is a slightly different shade for me, usually I stick with my dusky pinks but I actually really love this brown toned shade and I've found it suits my skin tone perfectly.  I'm desperate to pick up a couple more of these formulas but every time I go into Boots, all the colours are sold out!

What are your beauty favourites? Do you use any of these products? Thanks for reading as always!

Real Techniques brushes were gifted to myself for exchange of a review.  You can buy the full Real Techniques range along with many other brands at discounted prices at
