This Week #2

Again this week has been pretty exhausting, more exhausting than the last week in all honesty.  I don't feel like I've had a minute to myself and haven't had time to sit down and just chill out.  It's been a full on non-stop week which is a good thing in some ways as it keeps my mind occupied and I feel like I've having a productive week but it's also pretty draining.  I'm writing this on a Saturday (finally a weekend off work) but you know what time I woke up? 6:30am. Why in the world did my body decide that on it's first lie-in in 12 days did it want to wake up that early and it wasn't even one of those times when you wake up, check your phone, roll over and go back to sleep for an eternity, I was 100% wide awake and ready for the day.  I guess this week has just pushed me past the point of exhaustion and I'm just getting used to waking up at that time.  Or maybe it's the fact that I was in bed by 8:30 on a Friday night.  True story bro, I lead such a wild life.

In other news this week, I am on holiday countdown so am on full on 'get bikini body mode'.  I work out a fair bit anyway but over the past couple of weeks I have slacked with the gym a little bit so much so that I knew I wasn't going to be confident walking round the pool in my bikini.  This week I've been making more of a conscious effort to eat healthier (well except that bag of mini eggs that I consumed in about half hour and the fact that I've eaten out 3 times this week #sorrynotsorry) and to go to the gym.  I've actually been going to the gym in the morning before I start work, now thats dedication am I right? Or maybe it's just abit crazy? But seriously just hear me out... I start work at 8:30, it takes me 20 mins to walk there so I usually wake up around 7ish and leave the flat at 8am.  But if I get up at 6am just one hour earlier than normal, I can walk across the road to the gym (yes it really is across the road - I have no excuse not to go) and fit in a quick 30-40 min workout, be back home, showered and ready to leave at my normal time for work.  It makes so much sense!  Getting up earlier and doing a mini workout has a fair few benefits:

1. I feel more awake for the day ahead.
2. I don't feel as hungry.
3. I've already worked out so it makes me want to be healthy for the rest of the day.
4. It's only half hour workout - super quick!

See there are lots of benefits and as I'm more of a morning person I've actually been really enjoying it! I'm hoping if I carry on with this and my two Glow fit classes I will look like a Victoria Secret model just in time for me to parade around the pool in my new Triangl bikini.  A gal can dream!

Something really really exciting happened this week too when I woke up to see that one of my instagram posts had been re-grammed by the page @ihavethisthingwithfloors you've heard of it? Of course you have! It's a bloody brilliant feed and I love scrolling through it along with the hashtag so to be re-grammed by them was pretty insane to be honest! Like totally insane!! It also got a lot of likes which made me super happy! Again #sorrynotsorry

I'm currently writing this on the train back from Leeds after a flying visit to see my gal pal Zoe, I haven't seen her in a while so I made a little trip to see her and her new house.  Food was our first port of call and burgers were definitely on the menu so we headed to Handmade Burger Co for some stooge! I'd never eaten there before so was seriously spoilt for choice! I ended up going for a 'Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger' yes you heard right, peanut butter on a burger.  It sounds extremely odd but it tasted seriously good, it was what dreams were made of and now I'm gonna be having peanut butter on all my burgers! Kind of defeats the object of going the gym though.... I was also so hungry that I didn't even have time to take a photo of it, what a bad blogger I am.  After a quick wander round the shops we finished off the day with a hot chocolate before heading home.  It was such a lovely day and I know I need to make more effort to visit my friends as they're situated all over the place.

Well this turned into a right little ramble so thank you and big well done if you managed to make it to the end, I wasn't intending on making this into an essay but I hadn't wrote in a while so it kinda turned into word vomit.  I hope you've all had a good week and a relaxing weekend!
