A Look Back on 2015 & 10 For 2016

As 2015 has come to an end, it's time to look back at the year and see what I've accomplished.  When I look back 2015 was a pretty good year for me and I'm super happy with how the year turned out.  Today I thought I'd look back at the year and see what happened...

1. Got A New Job: In July I started a new job, the job was a similar role but very different at the same time, which is brilliant as I've learnt more skills in my field.  The job is also much closer to home, I had to drive for over an hour to my previous job and I didn't realise it at the time how much everything about the job was getting me down.  I thought I was enjoying it but I only realised when I started this job how much I disliked my old one.  I'm in a much happier place now.

2. Moved Out: With a new job came a new home.  I moved into the city centre with my blogging friend Sophie and I couldn't be happier! The flat is super close to work and I love living in the heart of the city where there is always something to do.

3. Went On A Cruise: My holiday this year was a Baltic Cruise which I absolutely loved! I love travelling and visiting new places so this holiday was perfect for me.  We visited Copenhagen, St Petersburg, Stockholm to name a few and it really made me love Europe and want to explore more of the continent.

4. Bought A New Car: This was a very spontaneous decision on my behalf.  I'd been after a new car for a while after mine decided to lock it's steering wheel on the motorway (horrible feeling!!) and this one day I was driving past the car garage, turned around, went for a test drive, went home, drove my car back and drove back home in my new car that very same day.  I'd never been so spontaneous in my whole entire life and I don't regret it one bit, I love my car! I bought myself a little mint green Fiat 500 and I love it so much!

5. Hit 1K on Instagram and 500 bloglovin followers: I was so happy when I hit 1k on instagram, I'd been so close for ages and when I hit it I was made up! I know that 1k is tinyyyyyyy on instagram but I was happy and I've really gotten into instagram recently, it's defo one of my favourite social media platforms.  You can follow me here @hellotashablog.  Towards the very end of last year I reached over 500 bloglovin followers which I was so happy with!  Again it's such a tiny number but I struggle to gain blog followers so was extremely happy, it was the perfect way to end the year! You can follow me on bloglovin here.

6. Started Youtube: Again this was a pretty spontaneous decision, I'd wanted to start Youtube for ages as I love watching it and then just one day I randomly set up my camera and filmed two videos back to back.  It's been abit slow since then as I rarely have the time to film but I hope to make more time in 2016 to film some more.  You can follow me here.

7. Worked With Boohoo: This was very exciting!! Boohoo are massive and when the email came through saying they'd love to collaborate with me I was made up! I'd never worked with such a big brand before so this was incredibly exciting.  I received some lovely bits and decided to style the dress in 2 ways, you can see in this post and this post.  Styling the dress was so much fun and I'm really happy with how the photos turned out.

8. Continued To Work 2 Jobs: For the past year and a half I've been working 2 jobs, my full time one during the week and my part time job at the weekend, it's been tough and tiring but I've managed.  I said last year that I most probably wouldn't be doing both this time this year but yet here I am.  To be fair, I enjoy both my jobs immensely and now that I live in city centre I find it so much easier to get to both of them so for the time being I'm quite happy working both.

9. Got A Pay Rise: This is very recent, I've been at my job for about 6 months now and I've just been told that from January I will be getting a pay rise! It was an early Christmas present and I couldn't be happier!!

10. Went To Lots of Blogging Events: 2015 was the year of blogging events! I went to a fair few including the #NWBloggersMeetUp and #BloggersFestival which I loved! I really enjoy blogging events as I love to meet fellow bloggers who I have lots in common with.  I'm hoping that 2016 brings a lot more!

Looking back, 2015 was defo a pretty awesome year for me and my blog.  Now that it's 2016 I thought I'd set a couple of things for the year ahead.  Now these aren't necessarily resolutions as I don't like setting them but these are just small things/areas that I would like to improve on for the oncoming year.

1. Drink more water.
2. Continue to grow my blog.
3. Travel more.
4. Get back into healthy eating.
5. Make more effort to see friends.
6. Read more.
7. Get back to the gym 3/4 times a week.
8. Be more spontaneous.
9. Say yes more.
10. Save money!

So there's my little list for 2016, heres hoping I stick to some if not all of it!  Let me know your goals for 2016.
