Blogger Envy

Blogger envy, we all get it, with so many amazing bloggers out there it's hard not to.  Envious of the bloggers that get to sample that particular product or who work with that brand or they have xxxx amount of followers.  For me recently, I've been having a lot of blogger envy and not for the reasons stated before.  I envy over certain people's posts, the way they write and express themselves.  It all sounds so professional and well natural, whereas I struggle to make it all come out how I want, I couldn't even write a text the other day as I didn't know how to phrase it it right.

Envy is extremely normal especially in the over populated blogging world, there are new bloggers popping up everyday and everyone wants to be the next big thing.  And everyone wants to take their blog to the next level and make it a full time career.  I'm not gonna lie and say that it wouldn't be great because lets face it, it would be.  Doing what you originally loved as a hobby to then turn it into a career that supports you would be pretty amazing and I'm always extremely jealous of those bloggers who have been able to do that.  I think full time blogger is the 'dream job' for quite a lot of people currently, myself included but I have to be realistic and know that it's not going to be achievable.  Doesn't mean that I can't dream right?

To be honest, I'm quite happy with my little blog and how it's grown since I started a couple of years ago.  I've got a fair amount of followers who are a reliable constant audience and I create content that I'm proud of.  Could my blog be better? Of course.  There is always room for improvement and nothing is ever perfect.  I'm not a perfectionist though (which is most probably why my blog isn't 'bigger') I just enjoy blogging, literally that's it.  There are certain bloggers out there who are perfectionists and that's how they've got to the top as they strive to create the best content that they can (not saying that anyone with less than xxx followers doesn't) I'm envious of that, envious of that perfectionist streak in them as their photos are always perfectly laid out with just the right amount of lighting and they can pose for photos so beautifully.  I just kind of wing it.

I guess the point of this post was to just say that it's ok to get blogger envy, we all get it.  Instead of using envy as a negative we should use it as inspiration and be inspired by those bloggers that we are envious of.  Be inspired by their outfits or the way they have written a particular post and use it to create even better content for your blog.  But just remember, no matter how big or small your blog is, it's still pretty awesome what you're doing.

Do you get blogger envy? I'd love to know what you think.
