LIFESTYLE: 2 Days In London

Last week Mum and I headed down to London for a couple of days, we had booked tickets to see the Alexander McQueen exhibition at the V&A and then also had the chance to catch up with a couple of friends as well.

We arrived mid morning and headed straight to the V&A for some coffee and cake, the cafe there is just gorgeous (as is the V&A as a whole)! Naturally it was so busy and we just about got a seat, unfortunately not the fancy area but still lovely the same.

We had booked a slot at 2pm for the Alexander McQueen exhibition and I was literally so excited! We've had this booked for months and I couldn't believe it had finally come around.  I've been a massive fan of McQueen for ages now and my skull scarf is one of my favourite and most precious items of clothing.

I'm going to do a whole post on the exhibition itself as I really think it needs it's own post, but I can assure you it was amazing and I'm not entirely sure how I am going to be able to put that all into words.    Photography was not allowed in the exhibition but I'm going to admit I did take one little photo of Alexander McQueens latest collection 'Platos Atlantis'. Absolutely stunning.

Our first day was rounded off with dinner with one of my travelling friends, which was lovely! I really do love catching up with people I met on the other side of the world, especially when carbs are involved!

Our second day was filled with shopping galore, hitting up Westfield and then Oxford Circus.  Obviously a trip was made to Topshop aka the mothership! But we started off the day with an extremely naughty breakfast of pancakes and french toast, amazing!

It was a lovely sunny day in London and after being all shopped out we headed to Westminster to meet up with another friend for some well earned coffee and cake.

Make sure you head back on Wednesday and Friday to see what I wore throughout the trip.

I've talked about my love for London before and how I could quite happily live there.  I would visit the V&A every week and eat french toast from The Breakfast Club everyday if I could.  Living in London is defo on the cards for me at some point, but for now I'm happy with just visiting the beautiful city for a couple of days.

What are your favourite things to do in London?
