BEAUTY: Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

I'm a massive fan of the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for applying my foundation, it makes it easy to buff my foundation in and gives me a great base.  But recently I've seen a lot of bloggers using the Miracle Complexion Sponge and I don't like to miss out on things so quickly made a purchase in my local Superdrug.

I used a sponge when I very first started wearing makeup as thats what the makeup artists at MAC used on me but having since moving onto brushes I was intrigued to see how a sponge would work.

The sponge has 3 sides, each with different uses, the flat edge contours around your eyes and nose, the sides blend large areas around your face and the tip to cover any imperfections.  This sponge makes applying my makeup a dream, I either use it by itself if I'm after a lighter base or I use it after I have buffed in my foundation with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to give a real flawless base.  I especially love it for patting in my concealer around my nose and under my eyes as my brush just doesn't do a good enough job.  You can use the sponge wet or dry depending on your personal preference, I personally use it slightly damp if I'm using the sponge by itself or dry if I'm using it to buff after already applying my foundation.  The only downside to the sponge is that it gets dirty incredibly quickly and you have to rinse it through every couple of days but it's still hard to get it totally clean.

I really enjoy using this sponge and love the way it makes my makeup look and I'd highly recommend giving it a whirl!

Do you use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge? What are your thoughts?
