12 Things I Did in 2014

1. Celebrated NYE in Sydney: I started the year on an absolute high by celebrating NYE in Sydney, Australia. It was the most amazing night and comes with a hell of a story but will save that for another time.  It was so incredible to see the fireworks over the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge and then to continue celebrating the whole night.

2. Climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge: Another amazing experience, I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, not everyone can say that! It was the most amazing day, beautiful blue sky and the walk up there was insane.  The view was incredible and is an experience I will never forget.

3. Travelled around New Zealand: After Australia, I went to New Zealand and travelled around for 6 weeks on the Kiwi Experience bus.  I loved New Zealand, such a beautiful country, so isolated and the bus was so much fun to go on. Read my post on Kiwi Experience here.

4. Came home: After 14 months of travelling I decided to come home.  I loved travelling but it was time to come home.  At first it was odd and very quiet as I had gotten used to being around people all the time but I quickly got back into the swing of things and now I'm happy that I'm home, although I do have itchy feet.

5. Got my job back at  Topshop: Within 2 weeks of being home I got a job back at Topshop, a different store to one I had worked in previously but by far my favourite.   I was made up that I got a job so quickly after coming home, it meant I wasn't bored.

5. Got a job as a Buying Assistant: I've wanted to be a Buyer for a while but I haven't got a degree in Buying so never thought I would ever get a job in that industry but I applied for a job which I thought was really farfetched and I got the job.  Now I'm working as a Buying Assistant for a mail order company and I couldn't be happier.  Don't get me wrong, it's been tough and stressful as I've had to start from scratch but I really love it.

7. Went to Berlin: I went on a little weekend trip with my girls from Uni and it was such an awesome weekend.  I've never thought of visiting Berlin but it was such a great city and so full of culture.  It was lovely to catch up with the girls as well, I hadn't seen them in over 2 years but it was just the same as it ever was.

8. Joined bootcamp: In March I started bootcamp for 6 months and have subsequently signed up for another 12 months as I love it so much.  I attend 3 times a week and we do varied exercises from metafit to HIIT.  It's tough but worth it as I've definitely seen a difference in myself.

9. Saw McBusted: McBusted got together, 2 of my favourite bands!! I went to see them live in March and they were AMAZING! So much energy and they always put on a great show.  I loved them so much that I've booked to go see them again next year!

10. Started my blog again properly: I've been blogging on and off for a couple of years now but since coming home I've really got back into it and I've really worked hard on it.  I really do love blogging and I'm happy with the direction it's going in.

11. Saw Wicked again: I love Wicked, I know all the words to the songs and I'm not ashamed to admit that I sing it quite regularly.  The story, the costumes and everything about it is incredible, it's by far my favourite musical.

12.  Attended 2 blog events: I'd never been to a blog event before but this year I've been to two and they were so much fun.  It was lovely to meet other bloggers that live in my area and chat about all our interests, I'm hoping I can attend more in the next year!

All in all 2014 has been a great year for me, let's see what 2015 brings!!
