LIFESTYLE: Chatsworth

Mum and I rarely have the same weekend off work but a couple of weekends ago we did so we decided to make the most of it and visit Chatsworth.  Chatsworth is a stately home in Derbyshire, about an hour and a half from where I live and it is beautifullll! The family actually still live in the house but you are able to walk around certain areas of it and the gardens are open too.  I'm not too sure how everyone feels about stately homes as I know some people can find them abit boring but I personally love them, I love seeing how a house has been a home to a family over so many generations and how they are left so intact to give you a glimpse into that part of history.

The outside of the house and the gardens are absolutely beautiful and it was such a lovely day so we were very lucky and I was able to take some gorgeous photos. There was this lovely water feature that ran up from the gardens and gave some great views of the house.  Read more about what I wore here.

The inside of the house was just as beautiful, it was so full of ornaments and pictures which I absolutely loved as there was so much to see.  Each room was totally different as well, there were bedrooms, dining rooms, lounges and corridors galore, all full to the brim and each one was so unique and ornate.  The house reminded me of Downton Abbey, which I am a massive fan of! The Downton Abbey house is actually next on my list to visit!

And theres always time for coffee and cake!

Apologies for this post being very photo heavy but Chatsworth was so lovely to not share with you.

What do you like to do on your days off?
