TRAVEL: Scenic Flight Over The Great Barrier Reef

For the majority of travellers in Australia, to do a scuba dive/ snorkel the Great Barrier Reef is an absolute must and there is a plethora of tours available to suit everyone's needs (day tours/overnight tours etc) but there is another way to see the famous Great Barrier Reef than being on a boat - from the air.

I was lucky enough to go on a scenic flight with a new upcoming company called 'Fly Sea Eagle' and it was an amazing experience! The whole flight lasted around 30 minutes (there is a 45 minute one available too) which was lots of time for us to have a good look at the reef and take many a photo.  The view was out of this world and I don't think I was prepared for how beautiful it would be, my photos definitely do not do it justice.

The company themselves were very efficient and extremely friendly.  They give you the choice of what time you would like to fly (I flew at 7:30am for the best weather), pick you up from your accomodation, give you a safety talk before the flight and also a presentation about where you will be flying too, what you will see etc and then they also drop you back off at your accommodation.  I cannot fault their services and definitely recommend them if you are contemplating doing a scenic flight.
