Chit Chat and a Catch Up

I haven't done an lifestyle chatty post in a while so thought it was well overdue.

Firstly, I attended an interview on Wednesday, you can see what I wore in this post here, which was very nerve-wrecking but thankfully it went very well and I'm glad to say that I got the job!! So I am very pleased to announce that I am now a buying assistant for Express Gifts Ltd! I am completely made up as it's a role I've wanted to get into for a while now but never thought I would as I didn't have the right degree/qualifications but turns out I was wrong. I start today (eek!!) which I'm quite nervous about as it's going to be completely different from my previous work as a sales assistant in Topshop but I'm also equally excited as it's something new for me to experience and I really hope I can get my teeth stuck into it.

As I just mentioned I'd wanted to get into buying for a while but never knew how I would.  I gained a degree in Film Production which I know is very different and although I loved it and I'm so glad I did it, I don't think I ever had my heart set on working in film which is why I never pushed myself hard enough to get a job and therefore moved out to Australia.  It was in Australia when I was going through my options (year of thought etc) that I decided that when I came home I really wanted to get into buying. As I didn't have the right qualifications (no business or fashion degree) I'm made up that I have actually got a job in buying as it shows that when I put my mind to something I can actually achieve it.  I think from a personal view it gives me a massive boost of self-confidence that someone believes in me that much to offer me a job in an area that is so new to me.  I just hope that I can do it to the best of my ability and will see where it takes me! I'm still going to be working in Topshop as well so I get the best of both worlds, I just hope I don't wear myself out with working all the time.

So as I have a new job that only means one thing: a new wardrobe! The dress code is smart casual but also keeping in with office wear so I'm thinking little dresses, blouses and skirts etc.  If you have any helpful ideas or outfit posts for office wear then send them my way as I would love some inspiration!

Hope everyone has a good week!
