BEAUTY: L'Oreal Casting Sunkiss Jelly Follow Up and Results

I recently posted that I had purchased and was testing out the L'Oreal Casting Sunkiss Jelly, read my post here, to see if it would lighten my hair without me making a trip to the hairdressers and after testing it out for a while I'm back with a follow up review and the results.

If you haven't heard of this product then where have you been?! It's basically a gel that you apply to your hair so it will gradually lighten to ensure that summer look.  There are two ways to use this product,  you can either use it all the way through your hair or just on strands to add subtle highlights.  As mentioned in my previous post I wasn't too sure how it was going to work as I do have naturally dark hair but thought I would give it a go anyway.  Heres what I thought:

Left: Before photo // Right: After photo

The photo on the left was taken over a month ago before I started to use the product and the photo on the right was taken a couple of days ago.  As you can see on the before photo my hair was rather dark but after using the product for 4/6 weeks and around 3/4 of the bottle I can see a difference.  I've been using the gel all over my hair to get an overall gradual lightening and I wasn't too sure that it had made a difference but once I saw these photos together I was so surprised to see that it had and it was quite an obvious change.  After the first couple of goes my hair started to take on a gingery colour but it has now started to take on some light brown tones throughout it to break up the dark colour and I am very happy with the way its turning out.

What do you think of the result? Have you used this product, what do you think of it?
