What I've Been Reading Recently

The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort: After watching the film and absolutely loving it I realised I needed to read the book and find out more about Jordan Belfort.  The film is actually a really good adaption of the book but obviously the book goes into more detail surrounding his business (that bit went right over my head) and his life involving drugs and then his rehabilitation afterwards.  The style of writing makes it so easy to read and I felt so immersed in Jordan's extravagant world that I wanted to continuously read more about it.  If you enjoyed the film then I would highly recommend the book!

Watch Your Back by Karen Rose: Now this is my kind of book, crime and revenge - amazing! It tells the story of Stevie Mazzetti who is struggling with the murder of her husband and son but she isn't the only one who can't forget about the past, someone is determined to get their revenge on Stevie.  Karen Rose writes in such a way that you gripped from the moment you pick up the book and want to know what happens next.  The book is told from a few characters point of view so you get a full picture of what is happening and you don't miss out on anything.

The Hundredth Man by Jack Kerley: Again this book seemed right up my street, a classic crime/psychopath story with the cop harbouring a terrible secret,  but I just couldn't get into it, you know when the writing style just doesn't agree with you?  I tried for a couple of pages but couldn't do it so sadly had to put it down which is a shame as I brought it all the way from New Zealand with me!

Now I'm on the lookout for a new book, any recommendations?
