CLEAN EATING WEEK 1

If you read this post, you will know that I have started clean eating and bootcamp sessions so heres how I got on in my first week.

DAY 1

Breakfast: Porridge with almond milk

Lunch: Rice cakes x2 with peanut butter

Dinner: Chicken with sweetcorn, carrots and broccoli

Snacks: Apple, cashew nuts

Exercise: Zumba and bootcamp

DAY 2

Breakfast: Special K

Lunch: Rice cakes x2 with peanut butter

Dinner: Cheese, onion & pepper omelette and sweet potato fries

Snacks: Apple

Exercise: Bootcamp (fitness test)

DAY 3

Breakfast: Porridge with almond milk

Lunch: Apple

Dinner: Lasagne and garlic bread (OOPS!)

Snacks: White chocolate & raspberry muffin (OOPS!)

Exercise: Day off

DAY 4

Breakfast: Porridge with almond milk

Lunch: Banana, peanut butter & almond milk smoothie and carrots & hummus

Dinner: Half bagel, scrambled egg, avocado and cucumber

Snacks: Strawberries and Special K

Exercise: Metafit

DAY 5

Breakfast: Special K

Lunch: Grapes and cucumber

Dinner: Chicken stir-fry

Snacks: N/a

Exercise: Konga

DAY 6

Breakfast: Special K

Lunch: Bagel and apple, banana, melon & almond milk smoothie

Dinner: Special K

Snacks: N/a

Exercise: Day off

DAY 7

Breakfast: Porridge with almond milk

Lunch: Crumpets

Dinner: Steak, carrots, green beans, sweetcorn and sweet potato fries

Snacks: Melon

Exercise: Day off


I feel for my first week of clean eating that I've not done that badly, yes I had a naughty day when I ate lasagne and had a muffin but sometimes that's needed.  I've eaten a lot of fruit and vegetables and I've found that I would rather choose an apple over a biscuit nowadays.  Exercise wise I've attended 5 classes which I am very happy about! It's been very hard work but I feel a lot better about myself and I know that over the next couple of weeks it's going to get easier and so I will be able to work harder.  Next week, I need to carry on what I'm eating but eat more fruit snacks and I want to make more smoothies as I really enjoy them.  I'm aiming to do the same 5 classes again this week as well.

Sorry if this post has been long winded but it's a way of recording what I'm doing and maybe it could give you some ideas for clean food. 

Do you have any recipes for me?  Any helpful tips?
