12 Things I Did in 2012

1.  Turned 21:  This was such an amazing birthday spent with good friends and family, lots of drinking and lovely lovely gifts.  I was so excited to turn 21 and it did not disappoint! Was definitely my best birthday to date.

2. Graduated:  I graduated in July with a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Film Production and I was so happy and proud of myself.  I was beyond nervous but it was such an amazing day to graduate with all my friends and have my family watch me.  I celebrated with dinner with my family and a night out with my uni friends.

3. Travelled to Alaska:  My Grandma has always wanted to travel to Alaska so in June, myself and my family made the long journey to Alaska and cruised down the coast for nearly 2 weeks.  It was one of my favourite holidays ever as the scenery was just so beautiful (we saw glaciers and ice calving the lot!) and we saw so much wildlife such as whales, dolphins etc, it really was a once in a lifetime opportunity but a place I would go back to in a heartbeat.

4. Moved back home:  This was an odd experience as I had lived at University for 3 years so had adjusted to a totally different style of living.  As much as I loved living at University, I love living at home and always will do so it was great to come back.

5. Got a new job:  In July, I applied for the higher role of Concession Manager at Jones and Jones (still in Topshop) and I was successful! This was a really great moment for me as I was up against quite a few girls for the position but it gave me the confidence that I was good at my job and I've since succeeded in the role.

6. Made the decision to travel to Australia:  I've wanted to do this for a while now but the past couple of months it has become a reality.  I finally bought my ticket and my visa and thats it, I'm off.  I'm hoping this will be the best decision of my life.

7. Started my blog again:  I used to have a blog when I first started University but deleted it pretty soon after (regretting that now though!) but this year I found fashion/beauty/lifestyle blogging and decided to give it a whirl, although I'm still in the very early stages of it I'm very glad that I started up again and am grateful to all my followers and the comments I receive.

8. Got my fringe back:  This is a really silly one but after growing my fringe out for over a year, I had my fringe cut back in and felt like 'Tasha' again, that sounds really stupid but I look like me when I have a fringe, yeah I know what I'm on about.

9. Went to The Harry Potter Studio Tour:  What an AMAZING day! There are no words to describe how amazing this was.  I am a huge huge huge Harry Potter fan so this was a big day for me and was spent with a massive grin attached to my face and me getting super snap happy with my camera.  It just made the whole story come alive to me and being a filmmaker, to see the set and behind the scenes of my favourite film was just incredible.

10. Saw the Olypmics:  Myself, my mum and sister were lucky enough to get tickets to watch the athletics at the Olympics.  Again what an amazing day! We saw Usain Bolt in the 200m, the high jump, long jump, relay races and lots more.  Yet again, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity!

11. Met The Blackout:  I met one of my favourite bands 'The Blackout' casually in Liverpool, they were so friendly, I had a quick chat, some pictures and were added to their guestlist for their DJ set that night.

12. Realised who my real friends were:  This was a big one for me, I realised that I only need a couple of really amazing friends who I see/speak to all the time rather than a bigger group of friends.

All in all, 2012 has been an amazing year and there is so much more that I could have posted about but alas I could only pick 12.  Although 2012 was such a good year (potentially one of my favourites) I'm so ready for 2013 to begin as I know it's going to be even better!  So far I only have one New Year Resolution and that is 'to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.'  Hopefully I'll stick to it.

Ps. I nabbed this from Just Like Heaven (hope she doesn't mind).  Let me know if anyone does this blog post too, would love to give it a read :)
