6 Current Fashion Favourites

Morning gals!

It's time for me to share some of my current fashion favourites, the items of clothing that I have literally not taken off.  I think it's weird how sometimes we can go through stages of wearing particular outfits over and over again and then we just forget about them and don't wear them for a good couple of months only to then rekindle our love for them at a later date.  I'm terrible for this so this favourites features a couple of golden oldies plus a couple brand new purchases.

1. I picked up this striped shirt recently, it was only £8 from Primark so I couldn't leave it behind to be honest and I've since been wearing it none stop.  It's just super easy to throw on as it's so comfortable and I love wearing it tucked into my high waisted jeans.

2. I've been so desperate to wear this new Topshop top just haven't had the right occasion but when my best friend who lives in Thailand came home to visit, dinner and cocktails were on the agenda and  this top was my first choice.  If you've been reading my posts recently, you will know how obsessed I am with off the shoulder tops and I think this one is my favourite.  The structured style means it stays put on the arms and the slight flowy sleeves are just too cute.  Plus, can we just talk about that colour? LOVE

3.  This neckerchief that I hardly ever take off, it's getting to the point where I plan my outfits around wearing it.  I now have a couple of different colours of them but the black one is my favourite.  I just love how super easy they are to wear and how they can dress up a simple outfit.

4. Topshop Den Sandals or as I call them 'my clumpys', to me that makes sense as they are kind of clumpy sandals but I love them anyway.  They have a slight heel to give me some extra height but are still flat so are still comfortable enough to walk in.  I'm already obsessed with them but I know I'm going to get so much wear out of these in the Summer.

5. Recently I've fallen back in love with my Topshop Mom Jeans, they are super flattering on my figure at the moment, skim over my bottom half and nip me in at the waist.  I love pairing them with little crop tops as the weather has started to warm up.

6. Another item I've rekindled my love for is my denim shirt.  I always bring this out every Spring/Summer as it's just that perfect transitional piece in my opinion.  Oh look it's that neckerchief again!

OOTD: Spring Spots

Top: Zara // Jeans: Topshop // Scarf: TJ Hughes
Shoes: Topshop // Handbag: Mulberry

Hi guys! A Spring outfit from me today, well as Spring like as I get at the moment.  I'm quite happy that I managed it with no black clothing in sight as we all know that's my standard uniform.  Turns out an off the shoulder top is also my standard uniform as I literally can't get enough of them so soz if you're slightly bored about seeing them on here and on my instagram but I'm telling you now, they ain't gonna be stopping anytime soon.  To be honest, I think about 80% of my wardrobe at the moment is off the shoulder tops, oops!

I teamed this white one from Zara with my blue jeans for a more Spring like feel and I was desperate to wear my new scarf which I managed to pick up in the sample sale for pretty much nothing.    I love the look of skinny scarves and think they work really well with the off the shoulder tops.

For me, tan accessories work best with blue so my Mulberry Bayswater was always an obviously choice.  Shoes wise, it's time to get rid of the ankle boots and bring out more Summery choices from the depths of our wardrobes.  These fringed ones are from last year and I couldn't wait to bring them back out again for this year so prepare to see them a hell of a lot more in future posts.  They are just so unbelievably comfortable and just dress up an outfit that little bit more.

What do you think of this look? How would you style an off the shoulder top?

TRAVEL: 6 Reasons Why You Should Visit Lanzarote

Lanzarote is up there as one of my favourite places to visit on holiday.  I first visited 13 years ago and have been going back pretty much every year since (well except the 5 year hiatus until this year), I know the area so well that it almost feels like home to me now.  I feel Lanzarote is still a hidden gem for some people and not everyone would think to visit there so todays post is 6 reasons why you should visit Lanzarote if you haven't already.

1. The weather: Obviously the weather plays a huge part when you're deciding to go on holiday as we all love warm weather and relaxing out in the sunshine with a cocktail in hand.  Lanzarote has the perfect weather as it's hot but not too hot and humid where you feel sticky and gross and there is also a slight breeze which cools you down every so often (unfortunately it's not hat wearing weather which really quite upsets me).  I tend to visit Lanzarote in the Easter and the weather is lovely (I came back with a cracking tan) although in the evening it does cool down slightly so you will need a light jacket.

2. It's not overly touristy: Lanzarote is still pretty unpopulated by tourists (depending where you go) so you can really enjoy the island without too many people spoiling it for you.

3. It's super pretty: The island is so unbelievably gorgeous, everywhere you look there is beauty.  The volcanoes are so awesome to see, there are beautiful beaches, rugged coastlines and bright flowers everywhere you look.  It's just such a lovely bright country, which also makes it very instagrammable.

4. It's a tiny island so you can really explore it: If you're anything like me then you like to make the most of your holiday and explore the country that you're visiting.  The first time I visited Lanzarote (13 years ago FYI) I explored the entire island on a couple of day trips as it's so small so was quick and easy to get around.  Top sights include: Timanfaya National Park, Jameos del Agua, Cesar Manrique Foundation.

5. The sunsets: You see pictures on instagram of the most amazing sunsets from various countries around the globe and Lanzarote is no different.  Just look at those colours, amazing!

6. It's really chilled out: As I mentioned in a previous point, Lanzarote isn't overly populated by tourists or even residents for that matter so the island is incredible chilled out.  It's such a relaxing place to visit.  Life can be pretty full on at times so on holiday you really want to make the most of it and chill out and Lanzarote is just the perfect place to do that.

Have you ever visited Lanzarote? Do you want to?

OOTD: Striped Body

Striped Body: Topshop // Jeans: Topshop // Hat: Topshop // Shoes: Topshop

Bodies have been everywhere all over the high street recently and I've been wanting to try the trend for a little while now and so I headed to my favourite shop Topshop (obvz) and picked up this little striped one.

Things to note about a body:

1. They really really suck you in and smooth everything out.
2. They are super comfortable, yes even with the little poppers underneath.
3. They will give you a VPL.
4. They look super flattering.
5. They're quite awkward when you are desperate for the toilet.
6. They stay put and you don't get that awkward moment when your top comes untucked from your pants.

I teamed my body with my staple high waisted black jeans from Topshop for an ultra sleek look and my new heeled sandals to give me that extra bit of height.  My hat is a brand new one again from Topshop as I'd had my previous one for a good couple of years and it had started to look a little worse for wear, this one kind of makes me feel like a cowboy but I love it all the same and it really is such a staple in my wardrobe.

I'm not normally one for complete body con/skin tight kinda look as it's not normally my style but I actually really like this outfit and I feel pretty confident in it which is the main thing when wearing any outfit in my opinion.

What do you think of this look? How would you wear a body?
